A single rose can be my garden… a single friend, my world.

In just a few hours, a very good friend of mine (Hi Em!) is going to be stopping by to take photos of our new little chicks, Josephine and Mrs. Bucket. My camera isn’t working and when you use a phone to take pictures you tend to see a lot of just blurred gray and black.

Em is the same person who took this incredible picture of Violet.

Honestly, I can’t help but smile when I see that one. Such joy in a little chick.

Another busy weekend with a convention, library book sale, FIRST competition, soccer games –you know, it’s life as usual when you live with a flock of kids.

To do a little crowing myself as a mama hen, at the high school Senior Award night this past week, my son Trevor, who gave up gymnastics to pursue a career in the Army, was presented with an ROTC Scholarship to Norwich University where he will be attending studies in Natural Sciences and Geology.

Although, he is destined to be an officer in the military, he will always and forever be one of my little chicks.

As always, peaceful weekend everyone, health and happiness (and safety) to your flock.
