This weekend my mom came to visit New Hampshire. During my last trip with her she had started a bucket list and “See New Hampshire in the Fall” was #3 on the list.
Alright then, let’s make it so.
I picked mom up on Friday and our first stop was at Rein’s Deli for, you guessed it, the world’s best Reubens (and dill pickles.)

The traffic was *horrible* on the way back (what should have been a 2 hour trip turned into a 5 hour trip due to rain) we made it to New Hampshire in the early evening after the sun had set. This of course meant that mom couldn’t see any of the foliage.
Which only made the next morning was all the more impressive.

We have a Budweiser facility in our town where they keep some of their famous Clydesdales. That was our first stop. We saw the horses in the barn.

And out in the pastures.

Then we took mom to a local pumpkin festival where she saw one of her favorites, the Ferris Wheel.

And of course pumpkins, lots and lots of pumpkins.

Back at the house, Pippin decided that mom was a new source of heat and he hardly left her side.

On Sunday, another gorgeous day, we started the trip back to Connecticut.

See you again soon mom.
