Lesson 1065 – Hidden Eggs and Good Luck

By Wendythomas @wendyenthomas

The other day I wrote about our wandering marans. Despite our efforts to dissuade her, Rudd (our Splash and yes, she is named after the ESPN Soccer commentator that my daughter thinks is “adorbs.”) likes to go to the front yard where she’s found a secure little spot by our front porch.

This is Rudd in her hidden spot.

Yes, there;s a Splash Marans in there.

Yes, there’s a Splash Marans in there.

This is what we get after she leaves.

There must be somewhere in the world, some culture, where finding an egg by the front door means good luck to the inhabitants.

And if not, it certainly does now – at least at our house.
