For those who may be visiting Lessons Learned from the Flock because of this Mammo-grahams picture that is all over the place (October is Breast Cancer Awareness month), you’ve reached the right place. I am a writer/journalist/blogger located in New Hampshire and I made those cookies for a local recipe swap/pot luck dinner.
Welcome.
This blog is about the ongoing lessons we’ve learned while living with a flock of 6 kids, a flock of 27 chickens, and our dog; Pippin. (Think the *real* Chicken Soup for the Soul – but without any of our chickens in the soup.)
I also write about other things, like Lyme disease (4 of my kids and I have it), being thrifty (when you have 6 kids, there is never enough money), food, living tiny in a big house, and books – many books. As a journalist, I have access to some pretty sweet authors and I don’t mind sharing the literary love.
You’re welcome to stay, join our flock, and poke around for a bit, but if you’re here only for the mammo-graham recipe, you can get to it directly with this mammo-graham recipe link.
