Lenovo’s new LaVie Z notebook is an insanely light laptop. At just 1.72 pounds you would expect low specifications, a flimsy build and poor batter life. But Lenovo surprises at every corner. Inside the 16.9 mm body is Intel’s 5th generation Core i5 processor which is an unusual choice over the fanless Core M processor that usually accompanies these light notebooks. The 13.3 inch display can go up to 2560 x 1440 resolution and a there is an option to upgrade to a touch screen and a bigger processor which will add 0.34 pounds to the weight. The estimated battery life is 5.9 hours for the notebook and around 9 hours for the convertible.
