Lego Duplo at Asda

By Catty212
One of my favorite toys as a child was Lego. I was obsessed. I would spend hours building elaborate creations on the living room floor, so it was inevitable that I'd introduce the little man to Lego as soon as I could.

He's still quite young so the Lego collections with smaller pieces aren't suitable for him, he'd attempt to eat the pieces or they'd get thrown/lost, never to be seen again. So rather than the smaller kits, Lego Duplo is much more suitable for the little mans age range though, the pieces are larger and easier for small hands to grasp and the choking hazard is reduced as the pieces aren't mouth sized.

Asda George have a fun filled Lego and Construction range on their website with products available for all age ranges. We were kindly asked if we're like to try some products out with the little man.

Lego Duplo Creative Animals
The first item we chose was the LEGO Duplo Creative Animals, a brightly coloured selection of chunky shapes which can be used to create recognisable animals. The animals come with cards to show you how to make each one, just in case the faces and the patterns on each one don't give it away.

The Duplo animals have been a big hit. The little man can easily put them together and take them apart, though the animals he creates tend to be hybrids! The pieces fit together easily so are little person friendly and they're big enough to mean you don't need to worry about them getting stuck in your child's throat!
The other product we chose was the LEGO Duplo Deluxe Box of fun, a larger collection of big chunky bricks. The bricks are less regimented as to what they can be used for, so your child can have hours of fun creating anything they want.

The Box of Fun contains various extras in addition to the standard Lego Duplo bricks. There's windows, animals and even a simple wheeled base which can be used to make a vehicle of some sort.

The Box of fun is definitely that. Both Hubby and I enjoy sitting with the little man making things. I think the bricks help enhance both his motor skills and creativity, the allow him to play and build anything he wants.
The box they arrive in is perfect for storage too, it's solid and easy to stack up with our other toys. It's also become homer to the creative animal Lego.
I'll definitely be ordering some more products from Asda's Lego range.
