Clay Lacy’s Lear Jet 23 S/N 12 is displayed in a dedicated space in a brand new hangar. Delivered in 1964 as a Lear Jet 23, later upgraded to a model 24A, this aircraft was the first corporate jet to appear at Van Nuys. On May 21, 1965, Lacy and Jack Conroy, flew a dawn-to-dusk transcontinental flight in this aircraft. The 5,005-mile roundtrip from Los Angeles to New York and back of 11 hours, 36 minutes (10 hours, 21 minutes flight time) set three world records. Nikon D500 w/18-200mm.
