Leading Web 3.0 Game Splinterlands Announced Monumental Land NFTs Release

Splinterlands, the world’s leading blockchain-based fantasy video game, announced today that its land infrastructure will launch on December 13 as the game enters Phase 0.5. In the next step, players who have previously purchased Land Claims will be able to convert them into virtual Land Deeds. In addition, landowners can now locate their unsurveyed land within the game; surveying and other land features will be accessible in 2023.

After the initial sale of land plots in 2021, the player is introduced to the land for the first time in Phase 0.5. Once Phase 0.5 is live, players will be able to buy and sell land claims and land deeds, as well as generate land deed NFTs by exchanging plot, tract, and region claim tokens for them, transfer these NFTs to and from wax, and buy and sell them on the game’s market.

The CEO of Splinterlands, Jesse “Aggroed” Reich, spoke on behalf of the company to express its enthusiasm for this new phase of the game’s development.

“Every time we can continue to build this incredible world we’ve been co-creating with our community for years, we are thrilled,” Reich said. “The Land element has always been such an important part of our long-term vision for our users. Our team has worked long and hard for this, and we are so excited to start phasing in this immersive aspect of the Splinterlands world we all love.”

In 2023, players can expect to be able to manage their land, add farm “totems” to increase resource production, and produce items that can be used to advance in the Splinterlands game, in addition to being able to immediately locate their land and begin trading.

Plans for the long-term expansion of the land include numerous immersive features for the dedicated fanbase of the popular blockchain-based fantasy game.

About Splinterlands

In 2018, Matt Rosen and Jesse “Aggroed” Reich co-founded the leading blockchain game in the world, Splinterlands. Since then, the game has gained more than 2.4 million users, 1 million active wallets, and 3-5 million daily blockchain transactions. The pals and their increasing corporate team have also just crossed the critical milestone of 3B fights played. The blockchain-based battle game with a fantasy theme can provide cutting-edge gaming experiences in which players can acquire real-world rewards and own, hold, and trade in-game assets. Splinterlands has begun to enable interoperability between games with the recent release of the Tower Defense series and the upcoming development of its new sports gaming platform, Genesis League Sports, because of the unique capabilities of Web 3.0. Recent partnership announcements include those with the Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) and Warner Music Group, and Splinterlands continues to experience significant expansion and revenue growth (WMG).
