It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Lea Michele. Since she hasn’t been involved in any Ryan Murphy projects of late, she’s been keeping a relatively low profile. However Lea recently declared her love for a new beau – and for once, he has no Hollywood ties.
On Monday, the actress, who turned 31 yesterday, shared a photo of Instagram holding on to her boyfriend’s waist while looking out over the ocean. She captioned the snap, which was taken on Sunday, “Last year, in this same spot, on this same day, you told me 30 was going to be the best year of my life.. it was. So much to be grateful for, but mostly you.. got a feeling 31 is going to be even better… ❤️ u Z.”

So, the burning question is, who is Z? Well, the mystery man in question is one Zandy Reich, who is president of the clothing brand AYR. AYR stands for All Year Round, and with a quick peek at their website, I’ve discovered that the fashion line is made up of over-priced jeans ($225 a pair, really?) and relaxed, casual wear I’ll never be able to afford, unless it shows up at Plato’s Closet down the line.
Last month, the pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand in the streets of New York City, and a number of media outlets, including Us Magazine, reported that they were an item. A source told the magazine, “They’ve known each other for a while. They met a few years ago and she’s a fan of the clothing line.” Another source told PEOPLE that the two have been friends for a “few years” and that “things turned romantic recently and they’re dating now.”
As much as I’m not a big fan of Lea’s, she has had a hard time in the romance department. Of course, we all know about the tragic death of her Glee co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith. Since then she got dumped (right before Valentine’s day) by “model” Matthew Paetz and last July she broke up with iZombie star Robert Buckley after only a few months of dating. Randy appears to be an even-featured guy and, although he’s not in the business, I’m sure Lea’s closet is overflowing with all of the faux distressed Mom jeans and $135 relaxed button downs she can handle. Everybody deserves to be happy, and hopefully Lea has finally kissed her quota of toads and found her prince.
