If you enjoy surprise subscription boxes and you like drinking wine then this one is certainly for you.
When you subscribe to Le Petit Ballon UK, you are sent 2 bottle of wine each month. The wines are carefully selected to match profiles and there are even options to have just red or white wine or a mixture. The wines all come from across the sea in Europe so it's unlikely you will find them on the supermarket shelf.
With the wine comes a detailed guide (in English) which includes tasting notes and most importantly alcohol content.
Of course I was more than happy to try this subscription out myself. It's always nice to have a bottle of wine in the fridge after all.
My subscription package contained one bottle of red and one bottle of white. I am no wine expert so I won't pretend to know much about these.
If you take up a subscription and find a bottle you really enjoy then there is the option to buy it again for a period of 3 months.
The wines are shipped in a sturdy cardboard carry box. The bottles are tightly secured in the box and covered with netting.
