I don’t know if I would call it a lazy Sunday. I sorted out my food cupboard and labelled EVERYTHING! ( obsessive compulsive, I KNOW)
I don’t think Pedro ( my cat) was very impressed with me, he seemed to have a look on his face that said ‘ crazy human’.
Today is a public holiday in South Africa, its the day of reconciliation. The holiday came into effect in 1994 after the end of apartheid, with the intention of fostering reconciliation and national unity. Before 1994 it use to be called the day of the vow or Dingaan’s day. The Day of the Vow was a religious holiday commemorating the Voortrekker victory over the Zulu’s at the Battle of Blood River in 1838, and is still celebrated by some Boers ( Afrikaans word for farmers).
Today I’m going to spend some quality time with my parents and be outside as much as possible.
Have a lovely day
