My bedroom to be…
So, as you may have heard on Twitter, I’ve recently become a homeowner. *smug grown up face* In the past 10 years I’ve moved every year or two, hopping from less than glamourous Uni halls to minuscule apartment after minuscule apartment. However, in just five little weeks, the keys to a shiny new town house will be in the palm of my hand and as far as decorating is concerned the world is my oyster. And when I say the world, I mean Laura Ashley. One of my fave bloggers, Miss Annie Bean is running a rather fabulous blogger comp. The prize? 1000 pounds to spend in Laura Ashley. *squeals* I can barely contain my excitement. There are floral printed pound signs dancing in my eyes. Now I know this bedroom isn’t awful but all of the furniture belongs to the existing owners and while I know minimalist chic is hot right now, I’ll be left with a mere shell to work with. Read on to see the Laura Ashley picks I’m currently coveting…
So, let’s start small with new bedding. My decorating knowledge is fairly amatuer but I’ve learnt (from Pinterest) that your bed is the focal point of the room and as a result it really should look the part. You wouldn’t have your leading lady in anything but the best (Chanel) so why would you treat your bed any differently? After all it’s there for you after all of those gruelling spin classes, your hangover days and when you need that little bit of extra beauty sleep, it’s time to return the favour.
Let’s get to the serious bit. The wardrobe. This three quarter wardrobe in Dove Grey has my name on it. It’s actually called the Devon but I think that Remie has a much nicer ring to it, non? This wardrobe is the Queen Bey of wardrobes. You get the best of both worlds with hanging space and some cheeky drawer space for your delicates.
No bedroom is complete without a few finishing touches and this pretty photo frame is perfect.
I think my room is lacking a little Laura Ashley, wouldn’t you agree? x
