Late Autumn Vignettes of Porto

Porto’s architecture has me looking up when I’m not looking down to check on where Ice the Dog is sticking his nose. I have to be careful with my camera when the other hand is on his leash — Ice has a knack for chasing cats and birds when I’m trying to take pictures. I live in faint hope he will one day appreciate the graceful curves of Art Nouveau, the drama of Gothic Revival, or the ornate Portuguese Manueline style. Until then, I hang on tight to both the camera/s and the dog.

Since December was a blur of events, illness, and holidays, the photos from that month have been patiently waiting their turn on the blog. All in this post were taken on a warm and sunny December 5, except Rua 31 de Janeiro which was shot six days later. The photos marked the end of the Autumn 2015 season; you can see more in the album.
