What’s a girl to do in the week before Christmas but dress up like the occasion personified and drag a pal around town too?
It’s funny to me, now, that Daisybutter began as a style diary, a ‘fashion blog’, because I rarely find time to shoot and share outfits nowadays. And I suppose in a sense, that’s a byproduct of my wardrobe having evolved to a state that doesn’t provide much by way of fresh inspiration. Well, to me, anyway. In fact, I tend to document my most ‘me’ outfits the least which seems odd upon reflection. Gosh darn this Fear Of Sharing Reality. These posts always seem to be particularly favoured by you ladies and they will always have a special spot in my heart, I think. Anyway! Here’s something not too dissimilar from the outfits I’ve shared on here all year.
A few weeks ago I woke up and realised that England is blooming cold. I mean, I guess 25 years of life as a Brit gave me some hints but, like seriously, it is COLD in this country right now. That annoying bitter chill that dissipates as soon as you step indoors, rendering us all melting pools of excellent knitwear and wonderful coat choices. #BritishGirlProblems I picked up this roll neck jumper from New Look for just under £10 and I wear it at least once a week. It’s slightly sheer which doesn’t pose an issue at all - pop a nude bra on underneath or a nude-tone HeatTech camisole and you’re sorted. In classic ‘how to be festive’ fashion, I can never pass up a chance to wear this red suede skirt. The best £7.99 I ever did spend.
In other news, how good is Big Bang’s album?! I’m next-level obsessed with Last Dance - Taeyang’s vocals! I’ve also been watching BTOOOM! with my boyfriend which is a slightly less happy version of Sword Art Online; it’s pretty great and I’d totally recommend a watch if you’re taking a break from Christmas film fodder.
