Adrian & Amanda Got Hitched!
It is no secret that I think that weddings are just a big excuse to have an awesome party and I love it when our couples feel the exact same way. I mean – you can get married for £40 at a registry office so if you decide you want to go all out and have a wedding it should really be the most awesome party of your life. Well Amanda and Adrian really didn’t need much arm-twisting to have an amazingly gin-soaked knees up at Langar Hall.
I started in the morning with Amanda at the Langar Cottages just up the road from the Hall. There was a hearty amount of laughter and champagne – just the way every girl should start her wedding day. I love that Amanda chose to have a blush coloured wedding dress instead of going classic white. White doesn’t always suit everyone (I know it looks horrible on me!) and I think if you want a splash of color – why not?
Matt was with Adrian in the morning at his parents house as they were getting ready and setting up the marquee and the gin bar for later in the evening. I absolutely love when wedding receptions are at a parent’s house – what could possibly be more personal? It is always awesome seeing the neighbours pop out of their windows to congratulate the couple or even join in the evening shenanigans.
Their ceremony was held at Langar Hall which is an absolutely awesome and quirky location for a wedding. I just love the terracotta facade and the emu statues. Who doesn’t love an emu?
As much as I love a couple who love to party – I love a couple who isn’t afraid to cry and oh man… the tears were everywhere. Happy tears in the ceremony. Happy tears in the speeches. Frightened tears from the sponges? (Don’t ask)
Everyone had a total whale of a time whether it was bouncing on the trampoline or singing on the bus – it was all party all the time.
