Lamborghini is Holding an Auction for a Supercar with NFT

Posted on the 05 April 2022 by Nftnewspro

Lamborghini is auctioning off its last gas-powered Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimate Coupè and an NFT to commemorate the occasion. The firm collaborated on this “Ultimae” drop with DJ Steve Aoki, artist and inventor Krista Kim, and a digital content company named INVNT Group. The 1:1 NFT Lamborghini collectible will be sold to a single individual, and the business claims that this is the first time an NFT has been sold with a genuine super sports vehicle.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said, “Lamborghini and the NFT community fit together very well, as we share many values. We are both young-spirited innovators, looking out for unexpected projects and technological solutions.” He added that “this project is very special for us as it is a true first, a path nobody has ever taken.”

If you want to purchase a Lamborghini Aventador with a V-12 engine, you must attend the RM Sotheby’s auction on April 19th at 6:00 PM CET. This is an opportunity for one individual to meet Krista Kim and Steve Aoki virtually and get to know them better. They will be able to make use of Lamborghini’s VIP services, including a personalized tour of the Museo Lamborghini. Owners of the NFT would also get access to future limited edition Lamborghini vehicles and other advantages.

This is not the first time the Italian automobile manufacturer has undertaken an NFT experiment. The Lamborghini “Ultimate” 1:1 NFT will be a one-of-a-kind release. “Space-Time Memory” is a compilation of five arresting photographs taken by Swiss artist Fabian Oefner of the Lamborghini Ultimae. With this collection, the business entered the NFT industry in January. This time, the NFT art is created by Krista Kim. Both the NFT and the genuine Aventador will have a unique gradient.

Additionally, Steve Aoki creates music. He is also developing a custom circuit for the automobile. As Aoki put it, “I’m thrilled to be collaborating on this historic project with Lamborghini and Krista Kim! I’m very excited!” The drop represents the nexus of the actual world, digital art, and music. Every component of this vehicle has a purpose. It really does have its tale, and I wanted my music to reflect its spiritual energy — its mood, passion, and strength.

When Lamborghini sells off its last Aventador with a gasoline engine, it will be a significant event. It will also be a time of pride for those who utilize NFT. This might be one of the most frequent NFT drops this year, as well as one of the most significant automobile auctions in history.
