Lamb for Breakfast

When I lived in Korea I got used to eating meat for my morning meal as breakfast was usually leftovers from the night before.

This morning I woke Jack up at 6:30 (he had 2 late nights, the poor boy, and was trying to sleep in) and we came to visit his bubbie and zaidie before they left for their yearly week in Maine. We stopped at a Tim’s drive-thru for a coffee (where we had to wait! They had run out of coffee!) but I didn’t have breakfast. So I’m having leftovers from Friday night’s party. It was delicious on Friday and is still mighty tasty:

Barbequed leg of lamb
Roasted tomatoes
Cantaloupe

plus I love how the colours look on the plate!

Last night was another party – Jack’s uncle turned 50. So for 2 nights in a row I had cake. Last night I had pasta. First grains, dairy, and non-fruit sugars in about 2 weeks. Today we are getting back on track but a little bit of homecooking with friends and family is a good thing from time to time :)
