UPDATE: Rascal Flatts also withdrew from the CMA Awards 2020.

"Hey Y'all, we wanted to let you know that we received a positive COVID test within the group," the group shared on Twitter after the start of the show. "As much as we look forward to performing at the CMA Awards tonight, we will no longer be around for the sake of everyone's safety. We miss you and stay safe!"

Lady A puts safety first.

Almost an hour before the 2020 CMA Awards kick off in Nashville, the country music group announced they would withdraw from the live show due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Let's go back to last year's CMA Awards and how much fun we have every year spending time with our country music family!" the group wrote on Instagram with a photo from the 2019 show. "Sadly, one of our immediate family members just tested positive for COVID-19 this week. So far the three of us continue. to test negative, and out of caution and out of love for everyone involved in CMAs, we have decided to stay at the Awards House tonight. "

Lady A continued: "We are disappointed that we cannot play with Darius rucker and Thomas rhett, but luckily Charles has already recorded his performance with Carly Pearce so you will still see him go on stage! We will be cheering on our friends at home like all of you! Stay safe there. "
