Colombo Crime Division officers arrested a suspect who entered a businessman’s house on Kynsey Road, Borella and stole more than Rs. 10 million in cash and gold items, almost 5 months after the theft.
The arrested person is known as ‘Kabara Suresh’ who has more than 30 charges related to house breaking and theft against him.
“He is a resident of Kalinga Mawatha, Kirulapana and is a heavy drug addict. This 46-year-old suspect was arrested with 3 grams and 807 milligrams of heroin,” Police said.
Although the suspect was arrested after a long investigation into the theft, so far it has not been possible to find any of the stolen gold items.
