‘Kush’ Packed Inside Toy Parcels Detected, One Arrested

The Police Special Task Force has arrested a person who came to claim a parcel sent via Air Mail from the United States after Police found nearly Rs.20 million worth of the narcotic ‘Kush’, carefully packed inside toys inside the parcels.

According to the Police, there was 01 kg and 367 grams of ‘Kush’ inside the parcel. Police say that the Special Raid Unit of the Special Task Force Headquarters Camp (Colombo Region) conducted the raid with the assistance of Customs and Narcotics Bureau officers.

Police say that the narcotics were meticulously packed in the parcels containing the toys. A 44-year-old resident of Colombo 14 who came to collect the parcels was arrested and handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations by the STF.
