‘Krypton: The Complete First Season’ Releases on Blu-Ray & DVD

Whether you absolutely fell in love with Krypton when it aired on Syfy last year or you missed it, grabbing the Blu-Ray and DVD release of Krypton: The Complete First Season is the best way to rewatch or catch up before season two premieres later this year.  Not only will you be able to relive the action-packed adventure over and over again, but experience deleted scenes, gag reel, 2017 Comic-Con panel, plus two features on bringing Krypton to life.

Krypton‘s premise is that time traveling human, Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) arrives in order to ensure that Superman continues to exist.  With him, he brings a ticking time clock in the form of Superman’s slowly vanishing cape.  Taking place when Kal-El‘s grandfather is a young man, we find out that life for Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) is not easy and that tragedy has befallen the once great House of El.  Though Seg feels alone on Krypton as he finds himself in the great game of politics between the houses of the great Kryptonian families (including House Zod, House Em, and House Vex).

Not only does Seg’s journey inform the future of Superman, but also of Krypton.  This action-packed, gorgeous show also highlights what it is to be of specific ranks, Kryptonian politics, family politics, and the Kryptonian religion centered around Rao.  This show absolutely keeps up its pace and it leaves you enthralled over the ‘what ifs’, ‘what could have been’ and ‘what could still be’.  Whether you’re a fan of the Superman-verse comics, shows, or movies, Krypton is going to be everything you expected and so much more…prepare to believe one thing only to be surprised halfway through the episode.  Not everything is what it seems on Krypton.
