Kristin Bauer van Straten reveals a few nice tidbits about her character for True Blood Season 7 in an interview with scifinow.co.uk. Most of the information she shares US audiences already know about, but the one that caught my eye was the information that Pam had actually never killed on screen. Imagine that, the Vamp Pam has never done the deed in True Blood. Kristin Bauer wants to remedy that and I think she’ll get her chance, don’t you? Read what she says below and decide for yourself.
“The first few episodes this year, Pam is searching for her maker and it takes her around the globe to some very interesting places,” she reveals.
“She’s not in Bon Temps like everyone else and while they’re fighting for their lives and digging deep into their own characters, that’s exactly what Pam is doing.
“She makes the choice to leave her progeny for her maker, so we get to see yet another layer of Pam of how far she will go in this search for Eric. There’s some incredibly interesting situations that she gets in.
“There’s also going to be more flashbacks this year and those are always enormous fun. It’s wonderful playing an immortal character and getting to live out different decades.”
The final series of True Blood might give Bauer van Straten a chance for her uber-cool vampire vixen to go out all fangs blazing!
“Before this year, so I don’t give any thing away, we realized that Pam had never killed anybody, which seemed so wrong!” exclaims the star.
“Everyone else has been getting to be cool and murderous and killing – only bad people, of course – but Pam has never killed anyone onscreen! Isn’t that insane?! She’s supposed to be so bad-ass! So I put in a word to the writers last year and said, ‘Before we end this, I would at least like to kill one person onscreen.’”
