It is definitely Pam’s most memorable outfit so far and that’s saying something in 5 seasons of True Blood. That’s right, I’m talking about the Walmart Sweatsuit from episodes 5×01 and 5×02 of this season. And now you have a chance to own it!
Kristin Bauer van Straten who plays the dry, sarcastic, and fashionable vampire Pam has put up the now infamous outfit to benefit her documentary Out for Africa. It was donated in support of the film by the True Blood costume department The documentary will follow the issue of ivory poaching in Kenya. Bauer van Straten and husband Abri van Straten will be taking a film crew to Africa this week to cover organizations trying to stop the poaching of ivory from elephants and rhinos, ranging from those trying to save the animals from being poached to how Interpol is addressing the issue as well as scientists and other individuals who are fighting to end poaching all together. Poaching is at its highest rate since 1989.
This auction follows a successful Kickstarter campaign for the documentary which generated over $64,000 in support from more than 600 backers.
The auction which was launched today, will end on August 30 and as of this posting has reached $355.00. The winning bidder will have the sweat suit signed by Kristin with the option for it to be personalized. Delivery will be sometime during October 2012. So what are you waiting for? Go bid!
