It’s clear that Konami is a company that will help build the Web3 and Metaverse platforms.

In a blog post from today, October 13th, that opens in a new tab, Konami said it would be hiring people to make Web3 and Metaverse services. The blog post says that this is so that Konami can get ready to put in place an online trading system for NFTs.

The Japanese company has 13 open positions for people who want to work on Web3 and Metaverse projects. This fits perfectly with the overall goals of NFT when it comes to global warming and climate change, and Konami hopes it will “strengthen our structure and speed up our business.”

Fans of Konami don’t have very high expectations of the company right now, since it has recently messed up Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and anything else that showed promise. After all, Metal Gear has been relegated to pachinko games in Japan in recent years, and after years of rumors, speculation, and anticipation, no one knows what the hell is going on with Silent Hill.

Unfortunately, Konami isn’t the only game company that plays around with NFTs. Square Enix told its investors in May of this year that it would be putting a lot of money into NFTs and the cloud to grow its presence in the digital market. Give us some video games already, Konami and Square Enix! In fact, when it comes to making them, you’re pretty good at it.

We can only hope that the rumored Silent Hill projects are good enough to get Konami out of the horrible NFT/Metaverse market. Since a new Silent Hill game was just rated in Korea, let’s hope that a full-scale comeback of the classic horror series isn’t too far away.

Konami took the Metal Gear Solid games off the market because they had old images that were inappropriate, but the company plans to put them back on the market.
