Denim smock dress, c/o Dorothy Perkins; Topshop Heavenly satin flatform sandals; Mulberry Alexa in Petticoat White with Rose Gold.I’m writing this on the prettiest June Sunday afternoon right now and feeling super content. Sometimes I feel like scheduling my outfits for a Monday makes me lose traction with the blog and feeling like I’m actually “here” you know? It made more sense in my head and I just woke up from a nap.
Koi no yakan (phr. Jp.):- The sense upon first meeting a person that the two of you are going to fall in love.
This week has been literally insane. Work has completely kicked my butt and I had one of my social weeks, meaning — Monday I met up with a best friend to help him food shop and be 100 years old together; on Tuesday I went to Prezzo with another best friend for an overdue catch-up; Wednesday was my reunion with Elodie at a Razorlight gig (every part as good as 15 year old Michelle thought it’d be); Thursday I literally passed out as soon as I got home; Friday was a very very lovely date night, and yesterday I spent the day with Winnie before having a chilled night in with a friend. Despite all that and how much I claim to be a hermit, I’ve had the best week and weekend, and I’m more than ready to now enjoy some down time.

I bought these adorable flatforms in London yesterday and it was the kind of impulse purchase that left me needing to wear them straight away. I absolutely adore them! They’re just a Topshop pair but the satin heart prints make them look SO Miu Miu and I’m going to wear them all day err’day. Plus they also come in white, silver or black. Help me. Teamed it with this denim smock dress by Dorothy Perkins (would ya believe?!) and my Alexa today for an ensemble to match the 26 degree heat. Thanks England, you pulled it outta the bag this time!
To round off my week, tonight I’m going to squeeze in some chapters of A Clash of Kings, shimmy some songs onto my new(!!) iPod Touch and then head to see my Granny, auntie, uncle and cousins - such is a usual Sunday at Chez Chai! How are we all? Come and chat in the comments, by email or on Twitter! (:
