The Flying Blue airline coalition, which include Air France, KLM, Aeroflot and Alitalia, is offering special discounts for those traveling using their points/miles.
The following are some of the discounts offering to/from Canada:
All are for Economy Class/Return trips:
- Toronto – Paris – usually 50,000 Award Miles but now 25,000 (50-percent) (Air France)
- Vancouver – Paris – usually 50,000 Award Miles, but now 37,500 ( 25-percent) (KLM)
- Calgary – Paris – usually 50,000 Award Miles but now 37,500 (25-percent) (KLM)
- Montreal – Paris – usually 50,000 Award Miles but now 37,500 (25-percent) (KLM)
- Montreal – Paris – usually 100,000 Award Miles but now 50,000 (50-percent) (Air France)
Conditions
- Flights should be booked between Oct. 30, 2013- Nov. 30, 2013
- Flights should be undertaken between Nov. 1, 2013 – Mar 31, 2014
Earning Miles:
- Flying Blue partners have complicated systems of awarding miles. KLM website, for example, offers miles at the rate of 1 km flown= 1 Mile.
