Overview
When you're running late in the morning and get distracted while making some toast, the toaster has a Keep Warm feature that activates after the toasting cycle has finished. With this feature, if the toast hasn't been removed after 45 seconds, the unit will lower the toast back into the device to keep it warm.
From there, you have three minutes to finish doing whatever needs to be done. This feature ensures that your toast will still be warm and not hard like a rock!
Other useful features this unit includes an automatic tray that will rise and lower itself when it detects there is bread on it.
The unit will lower the bread when you press the Toast/Cancel button. You can also adjust the shade level (there are seven different levels to choose from, ranging from light to dark) so you can achieve your preferred darkness of toast.
This is a nice feature for those who like some breads darker than others. You can also toast frozen items and bagels with this toaster and still achieve perfectly toasted goods.

Several people have mentioned that this feature gave them enough time to finish making the kid's lunch, finishing their makeup, or washing the dishes, and they could come back and still have warm toast.
Customers also like that when the toaster is on, whether it is actually making toast, or if it is keeping the toast warm, the outside of the unit remains cool to the touch. This is a great feature of the KitchenAid Toaster because it prevents accidental burns because you were distracted or someone grabbed the toaster without thinking.

During the week, who really has time to prepare an elaborate breakfast Sometimes you don't even have time to make scrambled eggs! On days like this, we tend to opt for a couple slices of toast because it's quick and we can do other things while the toaster is working.

If you're distracted and forget about your toast, you have up to three minutes to retrieve your toast and it will still be warm, thanks to the toasters unique Keep Warm function.

We like this toaster because it is a sleek and modern unit that has all the bells and whistles that you could hope for in a toaster. Although this unit may look like it came from your grandmother's kitchen, it proves that it does not perform like one.
If you're looking for a toaster that is going to outperform an old unit and take your toast game to the next level, we highly recommend this unit. Best of all you can choose between three colors to best match your kitchen dcor. Who needs to hide the toaster when it looks beautiful on the counter You won't, that's for sure!
