Gruner Veltliner is another wine I need to keep in stock. I love it’s aroma, zest and high acidity. It’s a sleeper grape that is really enjoyable. You'll find most Gruner's like this one from Austria, but Gruner is also grown in other parts of the world.
A big thank you to Kitchen 330's customers Frank and Kristen who brought us a gift of wine when they picked up their dinner. It is great when customers think of us and heartwarming to have created such wonderful relationships with our guests.
Brunn is 6th generation farmed by Karl and Godfried Steinschaden. They are in the process of converting their vineyards to organic. Their Ried Stein vineyard is recognized for its unique and exceptional terroir and the winery owns the oldest traditional basket press dating back to 1564 A.D. It is the original basket press used by the Benedictine Abbey of Gottweig.
2018 Brunn Gruner Veltliner Green "The Artisan Collection" has nice aromas of green apple, white flowers, white pepper and exotic fruits. The palate has racy acidity with notes of green apple, white citrus a hint of white spice and a touch of sweetness.
Chef’s Pairings: Shrimp Pad Thai, Pho with shaved pork, crab cakes, Asian, Indian, Thai and Vietnamese food. For dessert a pear and apple pie.
