Kit Chan Early Life
Kit Chan was born in Singapore, the third of four sisters. She studied at Fairfield Methodist School, Raffles Girls' School, Raffles Junior College, and Lasalle SIA College of the Arts. During her six years from 2004 to 2010, while Kit Chan was away from her music scene, she returned to La Salle as a grown student. She wrote a dissertation on the psychology of performance and graduated with honors.

Kit Chan Career
Since her debut in 1993, Kit Chan has worked in the fields of singing, theater, television drama, poetry, songwriting, entrepreneurship, and creative direction. In 1994, Kit Chan released the album Heartache in the Taiwanese market. She went on to release other albums regionally, such as 'Welcome to You', 'Dazzling' and 'Tanshin', performing in parts of Asia, the United States, South Korea, and New Zealand, and collaborating with symphonies and orchestras in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.
Kit Chan performed the song "Home" at the National Day Parade in Singapore in 1998, and the song became very popular in Singapore. It was later staged in various versions of the National Day Parade.
Kit Chan took a hiatus from her acting career in 2004 to continue her studies, and in 2007 she joined the international PR consulting firm Hill & Knowlton as a campaign specialist. She worked on the Total Defense campaign for the Department of Defense, "What Will You Defend?" in 2009, and left the company after 19 months.

In 2014, Kit Chan made her first starring role in Jason Lai's Miss J Contemplates Choices, playing the eponymous Miss J, who gives advice to callers on a radio talk show.
