We’re about to get a Kirk Franklin biopic ya’ll!
According to Deadline the biopic, currently untitled, is being produced by former Sony exec DeVon Franklin via his Franklin Entertainment banner and Franklin’s Fo Yo Soul Entertainment.
Brian Ivie (The Drop Box) has been tapped to write the film which will follow 14-time Grammy-winning artist from his humble beginning through his meteoric rise to fame as he changes the face of gospel music and battles his demons in the process.
With his latest album release, Long Live Love, Kirk Franklin became the first artist in history to top all five Billboard gospel charts at one time.
Kirk has been married to Tammy Franklin for 23 years and they have three grown kids, Carrington, Kennedy and Caziah.
