Kim Jong Un’s last observed appearance was at a long-range artillery exercise
DPRK state media reported on March 28 (Monday) that Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) visited the Mirae Shop and Health Complex in Pyongyang. He was accompanied by his wife Ri Sol Ju (Ri So’l-chu). Also in attendance was Choe Ryong Hae (Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Secretary for Workers’ and Social Organizations), Jon Il Chun (deputy director of the WPK Finance and Accounting Department), Jo Yong Won (deputy director of the WPK Organization Guidance Department), Kim Yo Jong (deputy director of the WPK Propaganda and Agitation Department and Jong Un’s younger sister), Kim Chang Kwang (deputy director of the WPK Science Education Department) Kim Pyong Ho (deputy director of the WPK Propaganda and Agitation Department) and Ma Won Chun (director of the National Defense Commission [NDC] Design Department).

He toured the Mirae Shop, first stopping off at its revolutionary history room. Jong Un noted that the “shop associated with the love of leader Kim Jong Il (Kim Cho’ng-il) has turned into a larger and modern commercial center and model of the country’s commercial service field, a full embodiment of the principle of convenience and architectural beauty first” and he called “upon all the salespersons to conduct service activities in a good manner and thus convey the immortal feats of Kim Jong Il forever.” He toured the store and was briefed about its customer service and saying that “the official and salespersons of the shop should lend their ear to the voices of customers, from the the viewpoint that the people’s demand is a criterion of service activities, and strive to steadily improve the service, positively introduct the advanced service method and take full measures to ensure the normal supply of goods in high demand.”
He issued instructions that the store “should tart its operations as early as possible and serve not only scientists and technicians but also other people.”

He also toured a recently constructed health complex, stopping off at its commissaries, bathing rooms, barber’s shop and salon. He remarked that the complex “is flawless in architectural style and construction quality and that it should start its operations in full preparation with the Day of the Sun (Kim Il Sung’s birthday; April 15) as an occasion.” He said that the “people would be very glad to see the operation of the Mirae Shop and health complex” and he expressed his “belief that their officials and employees would give good service to the visitors, aware of being faithful servants to the people, and thus make the shop and health complex the top exemplary unit in the service field of the country.”
