Jong Un noted that he had “planned to turn the tree nursery into the one to be proud of in the world so that it might be presented as a gift to the Seventh Congress of the WPK” and said “with great satisfaction that the KPA has creditably carried out the order of the supreme commander without an inch of deflection.  The tree nursery looks very vast as it full of architectural structures and it has undergone so dramatic changes that no trace of its appearance last year could be found…a model, standard of the tree nursery in the country and the tree nursery, the first of its kind, has been wonderfully built.”

He toured the tree nursery and “expressed great satisfaction over the fact that a combined control system has been successfully built at the tree nursery to ensure the most suitable conditions and environment for cultivating tree saplings.”  He remarked that “sapling greenhouses have been built in a modern way to optimize the conditions for the growth of saplings by introducing cutting-edge technology and it is possible to produce saplings twice for a year by realizing the automation and mechanization of work in the greenhouses on a high level.  Modern irrigation facilities and sunshade apparatuses have been installed at the cultivation grounds for acclimatizing saplings grown on the round cuttings grounds and greenhouses to outdoor environment and at the districts for cultivating potted saplings.”

Jong Un said that “all production processes ranging from the seed selection to sowing and sapling packing have been highly automated and streamlined and there are adequate stroma production processes and facilities for storing saplings.  The yearly sapling production at the tree nursery is more than 20 million and if all provinces build such land-saving and manpower-saving tree nurseries as this tree nursery, they will be able to produce 0.2 billion saplings a year.”  He instructed that WPK provincial committee chairmen visit the tree nursery.  Jong Un thanked the design and construction units and science researchers who contributed to the tree nursery “of the world level to be handed to posterity in the name of the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.”  He expressed his “expectation and belief that the officials and employees of the Tree Nursery #122 of the KPA would manage and operate the tree nursery in a responsible manner and thus creditably discharge their mission and duty in turning all mountains of the country into mountains of gold  and treasures.”
