Kiko Milano Make Up Review
Kiko Cosmetics very kindly sent me a gift voucher so I could
pick out some make up so a few weeks ago I popped into my local Kiko Milano
cosmetics store in Cambridge. I’d never heard of Kiko Cosmetics before so I
felt really excited and intrigued to see what the brand had to offer. As soon
as I entered the store I instantly knew I’d found my new favorite make up
shop.
Kiko Milano are an Italian make up brand that have started
to open shops around the UK, they stock professional make up and skin care
products at affordable prices. Everything in Kiko screams class and
sophistication.
So in this week’s blog post I’ll be reviewing the products I
picked out.
Kiko Skin Evolution Foundation-£12.90
This foundation is the cheapest foundation Kiko stock It’s priced at £12.90
which is such a bargain price. The foundation comes in a wide range of shades to
suit most people. I picked out shade Natural Rose it’s a medium coverage
foundation which blends really well into the skin and it’s so easy to apply.
The color is so flattering and it’s not at all orange. I’ll definitely be
trying out the other foundations Kiko has to offer.
Kiko Natural Concealer-£5.50
I was on the lookout for a concealer that I could use for contouring and this
natural concealer caught my eye, it came in 3 shades so I picked out the
lightest shade in Natural and it looks amazing with the foundation I picked
out, it brightens up my eyes and adds a glow to my skin, I add It to my under
eyes in triangle shapes, down the middle of my nose, my chin and forehead, it
makes my skin look brighter and healthier, I absolutely love it!
Kiko Soft Focus Concealer-£7.50
You can use this Soft Focus Concealer for contouring as well as the natural
concealer, it’ll work just as well to cover up blemishes. It’s a click pen
style packaging so it’s really easy and simple to use and again I’m really
happy with this concealer, it’s a good dupe of the ysl touche eclat. I have shade 01
Kiko Smart Lipstick-£2.50
The smart lipstick is the cheapest lipstick in Kiko priced at £2.50 BARGAIN!
They have such a HUGE range of colours, I’m going to buy the whole set! It’s
very pigmented and lasts quite a while on my lips, they’re not drying and help
to keep lips moisturised. The packaging is nice and simple. I have shades 900, 904 & 918
Kiko Velvet mat satin lipstick-£5.00
This is my new favorite lipstick, I literally wear it all the time, I love the
colour and it lasts ages on my lips. I’m so obsessed with mat lipsticks at the
moment, I’ll be getting all the others colours to add to my collection. It’s not
drying like a lot of mat lipsticks. It’s light and comfortable with high
coverage. It also has a plumping action. I have shade 601
Kiko Precision Lip Pencil-£2.90
I was looking for a nude lip pencil to go with the nude lipsticks I chose so I
decided on this Kiko Precision Lip Pencil in shade 302 it looks amazing with my
Velvet Mat Satin Lipstick, it makes my lips look fuller and more defined, you
can also use this on its own as a lip color for a mat effect too. It’s a nice
creamy consistency so it glides effortlessly onto the skin and you get a nice
neat smooth line, it’s so easy to work with.
Kiko Volume Eyes Plus Active Mascara-£7.90
I really wanted to try a Kiko Mascara so I chose this volumising mascara,
there’s such a huge range of different mascara’s it was hard to choose. I love
volume so for me this was the obvious choice. The brush is nice and big so it
coats every single lash even the hard to reach lashes and makes your eyes look
so amazing, it adds length and volume easily and it doesn't go flaky once it’s
dry, I’ll definitely be sticking to this mascara. Using this mascara is
beneficial for your natural lashes too!
‘This innovative formula is enhanced with K2 Prolash
Complex, a combination of active and clinically proven ingredients, offering
surprising results. After 30 days of use, tested results show that eyelashes'
average diameter increases more than 21 times when compared to traditional
mascara.’
Kiko Quick Dry Nail Lacquer-£2.90
I love my nail polish so I had to try a Kiko nail polish, I chose 2 colours, a neutral colour & a bright color. It’s nice & pigmented and it’s very fast drying. I Applied 2 coats to get a nice bold color. It also lasts a very long time without chipping. I decided to choose nice neutral tone as nude shades are so hot right now & as summer is around the corner, I chose a nice bright pink colour, and you can’t go wrong with pink!
