So I think this is the most macabre of all, even just writing the phrase “Serial Killer Week” feels a little too creepy. Celebrating ghosts and witches and the like was one thing but trying to title this Serial Killer week was a little too weird, so I changed it to Serial Thriller week. Hopefully this doesn’t throw anyone off because the horror genre, especially movies, have been pretty defined by the Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers, and Freddy Krugers so I think they deserve some of the limelight too!
Thrilling books with serial killers scare me the most. Maybe it’s because they’re the most realistic but they always keep me up at night! I am really excited for what this week has to offer:
- Amanda reviews Under the Skin by Michael Faber
- Our favorite actress and writer Cassidy Liston features an original short story for us
- Chad reviews the first season of Under the Dome, based on the book by Stephen King
- Rachel from Beauty and the Bookshelf gives us some YA inspired Halloween costume ideas
- Justine reviews Wake by Lisa McMann
And, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the giveaway!
