It doesn’t pay to lose your temper, Keyshia Cole has learned.
A judge has ordered the singer to pay Sabrina Mercadel $100k for assaulting her over 3 years ago.
The incident happened at then boyfriend Birdman’s condo back in 2014. Keyshia Cole assaulted Mercadel, after she noticed her in the condo. The singer reportedly snapped and immediately attacked Mercadel, leaving scratches on her face.
Keyshia was arrested. It was then revealed that Mercadel was a longtime employee of Cash Money Records. She pressed charges against Keyshia, and filed a lawsuit seeking punitive damages for battery.
According to TMZ, the suit ended with a default judgment against Keyshia because she was a no-show in court. Sabrina was awarded $100,635.
Birdman and Keyshia broke up after the incident.
