Derwentwater Youth Hostel Wedding Photography
I know I am really not supposed to have favorite venues….. but I totally do. And top of my list would be Derwentwater Youth Hostel. They don’t do many weddings there because they aren’t licensed for ceremonies, but we always know that every wedding enquiry we get for Derwentwater YH is going to be awesome because it is a venue that attracts couples who are looking to break the ‘rules.’ Ria & Luke were no exception! They had the most fun, DIY, eclectic, Alice in Wonderland extravaganza ever. Surrounded by loads of friends and family they had a DIY outdoor wedding ceremony performed by Ria’s brother with a reading from their gorgeous little dude. As soon as the ceremony was over it was 110% party. Everyone was smiling and laughing and enjoying the gorgeous late August weather. We even managed to sneak off for some photos in front of the waterfall situated behind the hostel.
I do have to say – I love a bride who knows how to twirl that dress!
