Kendrick Lamar has landed the coveted, “Man of the Year” honors from GQ magazine this year. It’s fair to say with his album reaching platinum status, his slew of guests verses (Control, BET cypher, Nostaglia, need I continue) and maybe being the most controversial rapper in the game, that this accomplishment was well deserved.
In his feature article for the magazine, which took place not too long following the aftermath of the aforementioned “Control” verse, Kendrick of course was asked about his relationship with Drake where he says “[We're] pretty cool” but follows “I mean, I would be okay if we weren’t.” He appeared to have no ill will towards Drake, however he makes clear Drake is no role model to him as he states “If anything. We all peers.”
The issue is in stores now, so pick it up and check out the full interview!
