How To Keep Your Business or Blog Current:
There is little doubt that the average day for a small business owner/blogger is absolutely packed full of to-dos. Invoices to chase, a new business to pitch for, emails to answer.
All around the core business of what you actually do. We work hard at refining our daily routines, becoming more productive, and taking care of the tasks our business needs to complete before the end of the year.
So it’s little wonder that in amongst all that, we’re so focused on getting it all down pat that we forget to evolve. Any business aiming for longevity needs to retain the ability to respond to change in the marketplace and develop over time.
And in a small enterprise, that starts with the business owner or blogger themselves.
Staying current can feel a little overwhelming but it’s an important part of development – for yourself and your business or blog.
Here are a few actions you can aim to schedule to keep your finger on the pulse and your company or blog relevant.

Meet People In Person
If you want to find local networking events, that is a great way to understand the bigger picture of what is happening in the business world. Approach these events with an open mind.
They are not generally about transacting immediate business, but more about relationship building, forming a network in your industry, and gaining insight. Even if people don’t operate exactly within your field.
Say, you have a marketing business but it tends to handle B2B marketing, and your networking event brings you into contact with more B2C businesses. You can learn from their experience and adapt ideas from outside the immediate sector into yours.
Aim to make connections not only between yourself and others but between third parties of your acquaintance as well. Doing this gets you a reputation as a ‘fixer’ and people tend to remember that when they do need help in your field.
Meeting in person may be harder than normal today with Covid restrictions. However, you can attend these with zoom meetings and conferences.
