Living Proof Magazine in collaboration with 2one5 Productions and [ 2 one 5 ] Creative LLC.After a massive 16-foot companion sat quietly in Philadelphia’s 30th St. Station for a few months, KAWS returns to the city of brotherly love for a special exhibition at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
KAWS @ PAFA features both indoor and outdoor components, which a brand new 9-foot sculpture sitting above the front entrance of the Academy’s Historic Landmark Building.
However, the true visual mastery of this exhibition lies within the galleries throughout the building. Juxtaposed among the classic architecture of the building as well as the collection of historic American art sit over 60 KAWS paintings and sculptures, some of which were created specifically for this exhibition. Truly a site to behold.
The KAWS @ PAFA exhibition will be on view from October 12, 2013 to January 5, 2014 while the sculpture on the front facade will remain their until August 2014.
