(These graphic images are by Philip Bump in The Washington Post.)With their slim majority in the U.S. Senate, the Republicans were able to override the wishes of most Americans and put Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. They did this in spite of the fact that they represent a minority of the American public.
How did this happen? It was because of Republican dirty tricks (gerrymandering, voter suppression, lies and propaganda, etc.), people who never vote, and lazy Democrats (and Independents) who don't bother to vote in midterm election.
This must change. Decent Americans need to turn out to vote in massive numbers this year -- and again in 2020. They must vote like their freedom depends on it -- because it does!
