Mash up Sex and the City with George Orwell

In Periscope‘s never ending quest to bring you the best of the web, it has stumbled upon a marvelous mash-up website called Juxtapose. Here you can bring anything together – Youtube videos, Twitter feeds – and play them off against each other, at the same time. The effects can be hilarious – as in this, where a scene from 1984 is placed next to Sex and the City 2. Christian Bale from American Psycho suddenly becomes a lot less sinister when nodding along to the Prodigy; Lonesome George the tortoise’s poignancy is accentuated when a picture showing his status as “extinct” is placed next to one where is “endangered.”
