This past year has been so awesome, it was hard to sit down and pick a few posts as my top favorites.Obvously, I love getting to be apart of Appraising Pages so every post is special to me, but here are the ones that first came to my mind:)
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I fell head over heels for this book. When I wrote the review, I ended up coming across so much fan art. One of my favorite things about reading, is the community surrounding it. When a book can find a way into your heart, its incredible to see the way it effected so many others. I loved this post, because I was able to include some of the art people made while inspired by The Fault in Our Stars.
Story Inspired Experience:Nails
I love the idea of representing my nerdy roots in creative ways. When I came across these book influenced nails I had to share with our readers. This was such a fun post to write, but unfortunately my attempts at the nails bombed! This has to be one of my favorite posts because it blended two of my favorite things, books and nail polish.
Video Review: If I Stay by Gayle Forman
This book holds such a special place in my memories over this last year. Amanda and I both loved this book so much, we had to do a video review to best be able to explain just how perfect the story was. Reading If I Stay spurred i new author obsession for me, because Gayle Forman has such an incredible ability to write character that you feel. I had to included this review in my favorite because I loved sharing this story with my best friend and co-author, Amanda.
