The latest big tease from Zack Snyder's version of Justice League that lands on HBO max Sometime next year there is a new look for villain Steppenwolf.
Snyder used his social media platform of choice, Vero, to drop a still-image steppe wolf in all of its spiky glory. "Just working today pulled that out of the editorial. Sorry it's low resolution, but I've seen it in all of its hi-rez glory and it's a thing to take a moment to look at .. How many f @ * ks do you think he gives ?? "Snyder wrote in the caption posted on Saturday.

Snyder dropped the statue DC FanDomeThe 24 hour event, which takes place on their website, features panels from big names like Gal Gadot, Robert Pattinson, James Gunn, Margot Robbie, Snyder and many others. Though it doesn't look like Ciaran Hinds, who played Steppenwolf, is going to show up.

What is the Snyder Cut?
In a nutshell, The Snyder Cut is a 2017 Justice League version compiled by director Zack Snyder. His take on the superhero ensemble's blockbuster never made it to theaters after being forced to step down in the project's final stages.
After the main photography was completed in late 2016, Warner Bros. executives reportedly saw a rough cut of Snyder's footage and, unsatisfied, wanted changes. But in 2017, Snyder stepped down during the editing process to handle his daughter's death.
Joss Whedon did the editing and re-recording, but was not directed, suggesting that the finished product contained most of Snyder's original material.
However, several storylines were abandoned and the running time was reduced from three and a half hours to 120 minutes. Snyder estimated that the film we saw in theaters contained "a quarter" of his contribution.
While we'll likely never learn the hard facts about what happened behind the scenes of the film, which was torn to pieces by critics and disappointed at the box office, at least we'll finally see how big the differences are between the two versions it really is.
First teaser
To tease what he's gonna make Virtual DC FanDome convention in August Snyder dropped a clip with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), who uncovered a mural of the evil Darkseid.
"First look at JL. Get ready for more at the DC FanDome," said Snyder tweeted June 17th with the Sneak Peak.
What will be different
It will look betterWhen comparing the early Justice League trailers with the final theatrical version (via Slash Film), fans found that a bright orange sky had been added to the final climate battle. A fan asked Snyder on social media if the color grading would change for The Snyder Cut. Snyder simply replied, "Yes," which could mean his version captures its signature cold and steely hues.
A "radical rethink" and more than $ 30 millionSnyder's original crew was assembled to cut the footage with a different score, finished visual effects, and additional dialogue from actors to fill in the gaps. All of this could cost up to $ 30 million, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
However, head of HBO Max and WarnerMedia Bob Greenblatt suggested that the film would cost a lot more to make. In an interview on Recode Media Podcast in May, he stated that The Snyder Cut "doesn't exist" because Snyder is still making the "wildly expensive" film, a "radical rethink" of the 2017 version.
New charactersIn January, Snyder fell a quiet from his original footage with Ryan Choi, aka Atom. The ingenious size shifter as well as Martian Manhunter, The Green Lantern and Darkseid were viewed by Snyder as what you would get in its non-slimmed down version.
Snyder has since dropped a recent image (albeit blurry) of Darkseid, a tyrant who rules the hellish planet Apokolips. "He's coming ... to HBO Max," Snyder tweeted.
It has long been rumored that Ray Porter completed the voice work for the character by the time the villain was abandoned along with several other characters in Joss Whedon's theatrical version. We'll have to wait a year to see how his inclusion alongside Ciaran Hinds' villain Steppenwolf affects the overall structure of the film.
Porter confirmed his involvement in the film on Twitter: "I played Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League. There. It's out now."

Superman's black suit, previously featured in a scene from the 2017 movie, is featured in a new clip that Snyder dropped at Justice Con in July.
The clip shows Superman (Henry Cavill) paying a visit to Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons) on the Bruce Wayne premises. It's short, but it does give you a pretty good look at Superman's darker kit.
A miniseriesThat's a lot of characters. To ensure that Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg have enough time to characterize, a miniseries or six "chapters" could be in the cards, according to reporters. (The other rumored option is a four hour director's cut, but let's not encourage that.)
Another ending credits sceneIn the credits of the theatrical version, the sword-wielding assassin Deathstroke Lex Luthor joins in to found his own league of the righteous. Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello suggested seeing another scene related to Deathstroke's involvement in Ben Affleck's Canned Batman film.
But no additional shotsGiven the different scenes and characters, it all sounds like there will be re-recordings with the cast (after being banned). However, this possibility seems to have been confidently exhausted.
"There will be no new filming with actors," said film reporter Umberto Gonzalez on a podcast for The Wrap in May. Gonzalez is the founder of Heroic Hollywood and was one of the first to hear rumors about the release of The Snyder Cut.
"It's just an additional dialogue. Here's something that hasn't been reported on: [Snyder] wanted to take pictures and he wanted to do additional photography but HBO Max said no, that doesn't happen. We'll give you money for post production, special effects, scoring, and even ADR, but no re-inclusions in this movie. "
Why is it such a big deal?
Members of the cast, from Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Henry Cavill (Superman) to Jason Momoa (Aquaman), have all rallied behind The Snyder Cut, along with a longstanding fan campaign on social media that saw Warner Bros. was asked to publish it. After switching #ReleaseTheSnyderCut on and off for a year recently in the run-up to the two-year anniversary of the Justice League's release on Twitter.
In response to this massive support, WarnerMedia Entertainment (which owns HBO Max) chairman Robert Greenblatt issued the following statement:
"Since I was here 14 months ago, the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut singing has been a daily drumbeat in our offices and inboxes. Well, fans have asked and we're excited to finally deliver. At the end of the day it really is all we're excited very much to be able to release Zack's ultimate vision for this film in 2021. Without the hard work and combined efforts of the teams at HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures, this would never have been possible. ""
Snyder also announced the big news to fans when he saw his Man of Steel quarantine party.
"I would like to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and realizing their true visions. Special thanks also go to everyone involved in the SnyderCut movement who made it happen."
When and where will it come out?
The Justice League cut of Zack Snyder will be released on HBO Max sometime in 2021. The streaming service, which includes much exclusive content from WarnerMedia and DC Comics, launched on May 27th Log In.
Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill answer
Some of the cast jumped on Instagram to congratulate Snyder on the news.
"I'm very excited that Zack will have the chance to finally achieve his vision," Affleck said on the Kevin Smith Podcast.
Henry Cavill wrote, "Congratulations to you, Mr. Snyder!"
Superman shared some of his feelings for the film in an interview with Variety released in late June.
"I'm just very happy that Zack was able to achieve his vision," said Cavill. "I think it's important for a filmmaker and a storyteller to get their intended vision out and show it to the world, and I look forward to seeing them for myself. It's been quite an ordeal."
Jason Momoa, also known as Prideofgypsies, wrote on Instagram in May: "WE WANT it to finally happen. You're welcome. Justice. All my aloha to everyone who made this possible. All fans. We love you. ALOHA J. "
And Ray Fisher, aka Cyborg, wrote: "For those who fought. For those who believed. Thank you."
