Just Married in the Canadian Rockies

By Monkeys And Mountains Adventure @Laurel_Robbins

magic in the canadian rockies

I was just married J.P. (my now German husband) this past Saturday in Banff National Park, located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.  It was a day filled with magical moments.

As we were driving to one of the locations for our wedding photos, we saw some big horn sheep on the road, but alas they did not cooperate.  By the time we got out of the car and our photographer Crista-Lee was ready they were gone.  In my head, I said a silent prayer, “please cooperate sheep, I really want a wedding photo with you.”  Moments later, they reappeared.  Perhaps they were telepathic big horn sheep.  Crista-Lee instructed us to kiss and as we did, the sheep got closer and appeared very curious as to what we were doing.  Truly a magical moment, especially as anyone who has every tried to photograph wildlife can appreciate.  I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding present.  Who knew that sheep were telepathic and gave wedding gifts!

This photo has been submitted as part of Travel Photo Thursday, a weekly travel photography showcase organized by Nancie at Budget Travelers Sandbox where you can see more travel photos from around the world.
