Empire star Jussie Smollett was hospitalized after being attacked in Chicago late Monday night by two white men wearing ski masks, according to TMZ.
The two white men allegedly approached Smollett outside of a Subway, beat him up, called him “that f—got Empire n—,” put his head in a noose, and yelled, “This is MAGA country.” According to a statement from the Chicago Police. Jussie was taken to Northwestern Memorial, where he was treated. He was discharged later Tuesday morning.
The Blast released the dispatch recording of police looking for cameras that may have captured the attack.
The actor is in Chicago to film the new season of Empire.
