Julie and the Phantoms have been canceled by Netflix after only one season. This musical comedy-drama series, which began last year and chronicled the travail of young singer Julie Molina (played by Madison Reyes), followed Julie’s ascent through sadness to rediscover her passion for music with the assistance of three rockstar spirits. Since the series aired in September 2020, fans have been eagerly anticipating news regarding its future.

Season 2 of Julie and the Phantoms will be renewed.

Ortega’s social media post included the following caption: “Our [Julie and the Phantoms] family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of our Phantoms throughout the world for the incredible outpouring of love and support they have given us since our debut. We found out this week that Netflix will not renew our contract for a second season. We go forward with such pride for what we did as a team and the family we established while developing Julie, despite our sadness.” Despite his disappointment, he is clearly pleased with the actors and crew’s efforts on the television show. The project’s participants have formed personal bonds. In the post’s conclusion, it was said, “We hope you will continue to follow our work and careers as we progress. I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday period.

Why was Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix canceled?

Netflix did not renew Julie and the Phantoms for a second season after its launch on September 10, 2020, according to Kenny Ortega.

“Amidst our loss, we continue to be incredibly proud of what we accomplished as a team and the family we built while producing Julie,” Ortega stated on Instagram. You all have an amazing Holiday period waiting for you. I wish you all the best, love, and perfect harmony in whatever you do!”

The Netflix adaption of Julie e os Fantasmas follows Julie Molina, a young singer who summons the ghosts of dead rock stars, and was based on the Brazilian television series Julie e os Fantasmas.

Season 2 of Julie and the Phantoms have a lot of promise.

Given the big cliffhanger that the series finished on, it surely set up a second season wonderfully.

As reported by DigitalSpy, Kenny Ortega talked about his ambitions for Season 2 with him, adding, “First and foremost, we’re hoping that the world will join us.” “We have some huge ideas for season two,” she continues, “to delve even deeper into our tales and even deeper into our music.” We’d want to take Julie and the Phantoms on the road as a live musical show.”

Ortega also hinted that we could learn more about what happened in the season 1 finale episode, including whether the Phantoms are spirits or not. He claims, but doesn’t expand, that “it is addressed very early in the next season.”

Aside from the great issue that hangs over the first season, we may expect a lot of new music in the second.
