Juice of the Week: Orange Rosette

On the day I turned 16, I was sent to the principal’s office. As a rather timid, honor-roll student, this was a very abnormal request, and I was alarmed. When I arrived, the secretary handed me a dozen pastel roses! I quickly opened the card to discover the source of the surprise was my next-oldest sister, Tosha. Though I was dismayed not to have a secret admirer, the flowers imprinted an otherwise typical high-school day on my memory. I was truly grateful for my sister’s thoughtfulness.

Makes 2 Quarts

2 lbs organic pink lady apples, washed
~2 inch chunk of fresh ginger, peeled
6 organic navel oranges, peeled
6 organic lemons, peeled
2 lbs organic carrots, washed
