Jowar Ragi Dates Porridge for Babies is an immunity boosting food, which includes the wholesome ingredients that are rich in iron, calcium, proteins, vitamins and minerals. The main ingredients used in this recipe are jowar, ragi and dates powder. All these ingredients are fiber rich and good to improve digestion and maintains the gut health of babies. They also have several health benefits like maintaining the heart health, enhancing the brain development, treating anemia, preventing illnesses like inflammation, allergies etc.
Jowar Ragi Dates Porridge for Babies [simple & easy iron rich baby food]
Ingredients:
- Jowar – 2 tbsp
- Ragi – 2 tbsp
- Dates powder (from My Little Moppet) – 1 Tbsp

Method:
1. Wash, rinse and soak jowar and ragi for 5 minutes.
2. In a cooker, add soaked jowar and ragi.
3. Pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
4. Once the pressure releases, let it cool for some time.
5. Transfer into blending jar.
6. Blend until smooth.
7. In a pan add blended mixture and dates powder.
8. Mix well.
9. Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes or until the porridge thickens.
10. Healthy and yummy porridge is ready to serve.
This recipe is gluten free and easily digestible. Jowar, ragi, dates porridge is suitable for babies above 8 months. We have used the dates powder of My little moppet foods, which are natural with no preservatives or additives. You can skip dates powder if making for babies below 8 months and above 6 months.
