Actress, and singer Jordin Sparks shared with her followers the latest book that she is reading, Chastened: “The Unexpected Story Of My Year Without Sex.” Sparks wrote in the caption of herself holding the book, that there was no judgement here, that we all have our own journey to take, but did solicit feedback from her follower’s on their journey was going.

Sparks, who after winning American Idol would sport a promise ring, vowed to remain a virgin until marriage. The singer then started dating singer, Jason Derulo and rumors started to swirl that Sparks was wavering on her purity vow.
In 2012, Sparks first showed signs of wavering on her purity commitment during a Today Show interview. When asked about it, she said, “You know what? I switch it from day to day — I don’t wear it exactly everyday anymore, but I always have something there.”
She added, “When I was 13 my mom spoke to me about purity and waiting for marriage and different things like that. And, you know, at the time I was like, ‘Sure that’s great,’ but I can’t say what’s gonna happen a couple of months from now. People grow.”
