Looking for some educational, unique and fun outdoor activities this Summer Holiday? The Isis Education Centre in Hyde Park has taken inspiration from the eight magical Royal Parks to develop a range of activities for children and adults alike! We’re offering everything from guided walks to peeking under our sunshine pond and discovering what lies beneath. Drop your child off at one of our Nature Explorers days or join in yourself and discover your inner child on a magical guided walk.

J.M. Barrie was inspired by the magical Royal Parks to write the Peter Pan plays and stories. But how did Peter Pan get from Bird Island in the Serpentine to the magical shores of the Long Water in Kensington Gardens?

Join the Isis Education Centre team on an interactive walk and discover how the eternal boy made this perilous journey. Walkers are encouraged to dress up, feel the magic and get in the mood as we look at Bird Island, Peter Pan’s statue – and avoid Captain Hook!

Drop in to the Isis Education Centre in Hyde Park any time between 11am and 3pm to take park in a host of exciting activities, uncovering and discovering the magic of nature

Each day is themed with activities including pond dipping, bug hunting, following nature trails and getting creative, all supervised by our experienced and enthusiastic Education team who are keen to share their expertise. There really is something for everyone so do pop in!

Nature Explorers – Children aged 8 -11 years old

Looking for somewhere that will give your child an active, fun, outdoor experience during the holidays? At the Isis Education Centre our experienced teaching team provide a full day of guided outdoor games and activities for children aged 8 – 11.

Each day is themed, from exploring the park with all of your senses to bug hunting, beetle tracking and peeping under the surface of the sunshine pond to find out who lives under the water lilies. Discover how to use nets, water-scopes, magnifying glasses, microscopes and sweep nets to find out more about the amazing animals that live in the natural world around us.

The Isis Education Centre at the LookOut in Hyde Park is perfectly placed to host a range of outdoor activities exploring nature in the Park. It is a unique eco-friendly building, set in an acre of enclosed grounds, and the perfect base for outdoor learning. Facilities include state-of-the-art equipment and web cams in nest boxes and underwater. With a wide variety of habitats to study, from log piles to meadows and ponds, there’s no end to discovery.
